Battle of the Atlantic: Eastern Sea Frontier

The battle of the North Atlantic against German U Boats off the coast of England is well known, but few realize the extent and importance of the battle of the Atlantic off the East coast of the United States.

The talk covers the initial losses off the East coast to U-Boats during 1942-43, why they happened and how America overcame the U-Boat menace. Local involvement in the fight is highlighted.
