Fort Miles Historical Association awards scholarships to Junior ROTC members at Cape Henlopen High School. Cadets who are eligible for the scholarships volunteer at Fort Miles during the school year, helping restore buildings and working on other projects.
FMHA presented two $500 scholarships to deserving cadets at the May 2023 JROTC awards ceremony.
To donate to the fund, send a check payable to FMHA to P.O. Box 52, Lewes, DE 19966, and indicate the JROTC scholarship program.
Delaware state Rep. Jeff Hilovsky was the keynote speaker at the ceremony, which was attended by longtime friends of Fort Miles, retired legislators Ernie Lopez and Steve Smyk.
FMHA received this note of thanks from the Cadet Battalion Commander.
