FMHA hosted Rutgers University student Megan Dodson who recently filmed and directed a unique video podcast about the Fort Miles fire control towers often referred to as observation towers. Via interviews with FMHA President Dr. Gary Wray and FMHA Board Member Merritt Cooch and utilizing the art of Howard Schroeder and Paul Rendel, Megan created an interesting and visually arresting eight minute film. 

As the podcast says, these “Eyes of the Fort” are still working – enjoy and learn!

 

About the Director:  Megan Dodson is currently attending Rutgers University, majoring in Digital Film Production with a minor in Digital Communications. Her work has been featured through Chesapeake Bay Magazine, The Daily Targum, and Yvorra Leadership Development Foundation. Megan is currently holding a videographer position at Rutgers University Division of Continuing Studies, where she produces and oversees a production team focused on delivering various educational and promotional videos. 

Megan, a life-long resident of Kent Island, enjoys telling the stories of life on the Maryland Eastern Shore from the local residents’ perspective.
