In Memory of Captain Edwin W. Cooch, Jr., Fort Miles Veteran
On April 7th, over 400 runners formed at Fort Miles to begin the 2nd Annual Big Gun Run, an event that was initiated in 2018 by FMHA in partnership with Fin’s Hospitality Group.
This unique 4.25 miles point to point run and walk began at Fort Miles and ended at Big Oyster Brewery on King’s Highway. Participants enjoyed some pre-race music and refreshments at the new Fort Miles Events Venue, started the race in front of the Fort Miles Orientation Center and finished at Big Oyster Brewery on King’s Highway.
Runners were rewarded with an after-race party at Big Oyster Grill featuring grilled chicken, many other dishes and specially brewed Cape Kolsch Big Gun Run beer. Ample sunshine prevailed as can be seen from race and post race photos.
